about

While studying at SUNY Purchase College in the mid/late 1990's, Jack Dishel began writing and recording his songs. In 1999, just weeks before the turn of the millennium, he would release the first of two albums under the band name Stipplicon. Featuring guest appearances from many musician and actor friends (including a teenage Regina Spektor, his future wife) the eponymous debut has a diverse range of songs and interstitial sound collages.

Jack would later go on to make records under the band name Only Son; fans of that project will recognize select songs from both Stipplicon albums which were later rerecorded for Only Son records.
